In today’s world, adventure often ends at the line where land meets water. But for the Amphicruiser, it’s time to sail like a boat. It’s been developed by a Netherlands-based company, Dutch Amphibious Transport (DAT).

Based on the reliable Toyota Land Cruiser, this amphibious vehicle seamlessly transitions from rugged off-road trails to open waterways with just the press of a button. It’s offered in petrol, diesel, and electric options.
“We wanted it to be as solid on water as the Land Cruiser is on land,” says Dirk-Jan de Jong, co-founder of DAT.

An Amphibious Vehicle Built to Go Anywhere
Combining the reliability and durability of the Toyota Land Cruiser with DAT’s expertise in building amphibious vehicles, the Amphicruiser is not just a recreational toy but is certified for both road and water. It complies with European TÜV standards for cars and Lloyd’s Register for boats.

On land, this beast roars to life as a full-fledged SUV equipped with live axles, differential lockers, and all-wheel drive. But the true magic happens at the water’s edge. With a simple press of a button, the vehicle disengages the wheels from propulsion, and instead the twin Almarin water jets take over for steering and thrust. No ramps, no trailers—just drive straight into the water.

The Amphicruiser uses Toyota Land Cruiser HZJ79 chassis with body made from seawater-resistant Aluminum 5058, hull made from Chrome steel 441 (Thyssen Krupp), Hella IP67 LED marine lights, and special watertight door seals.
