Skoda Vision O Concept – Electrifying Octavia’s wagon Legacy

Since 1996, Skoda has been a market leader in the European estate segment, and the Skoda Vision O Concept will only complement that if it ever goes into production. Skoda has sold over 3.6 million units of its Octavia Combi and Superb Combi models since 1998. The Skoda Vision O concept previews what the next-generation electric Octavia and Superb estates might look like.

The Skoda Vision O Concept EV represents the brand’s electrified future and was revealed at its world premiere event on 8th Sep, 2025, during the IAA Munich Mobility Show in Munich.

Skoda Vision O Concept EV Specifications & Performance

Not much has been revealed yet about its power, speed, electric range, or other performance parameters. What we do know is that its dimensions are 4,850 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,500 mm in height, which makes it sit between the current Octavia and Superb estates in size.

It also boasts a boot space of over 650 liters, expandable to 1,700 liters with the rear seats folded.

Skoda Vision O Concept Design

In the Vision O Concept, Skoda is following what it calls the Modern Solid design language. It features minimalist design, advanced aerodynamics, and the use of sustainable materials.

“With Vision O, we are consistently advancing our ‘Modern Solid’ design language, boosting its emotional appeal and further refining our brand identity. The new design concept also highlights our commitment to pushing boundaries and continuously bringing innovation to future automotive design. Clear lines emphasize simplicity, showcasing that we remain true to our brand values. Vision O is extremely practical for everyday use and brings surprising and thoughtful details.” Oliver Stefani, Head of Design

The exterior design is characterized by clear lines, simplistic style, and innovation. The front has a striking new Tech-loop face mask, an illuminated SKODA logo, and a futuristic Cyber LED light bar. The headlamps and the illuminated SKODA logo form part of the welcome and goodbye animations the vehicle offers. The hood has two ventilation openings that help to reduce aerodynamic drag.

The side of the Skoda Vision O concept EV has a dynamic estate profile with aerodynamically optimized wheels designed to maximize range, tinted windows, a sloping roof, retractable door handles to improve airflow, and a very distinctive trapezoidal B-pillar, which creates a visually striking and spacious feel for the rear passengers.

The rear feature T-shaped taillights, a split spoiler, illuminated SKODA lettering and the Vision O logo towards the bumper.

The interior too follows Skoda’s Modern Solid design language, which is minimalistic, simple, functional, and authentic. In addition to the touch screen inputs, it also features steering wheel buttons and a tactile Smart Dial controller for a more intuitive feeling.

The ultra-spacious cabin highlights an innovative 1.2 m long Skoda Horizon Display, which can be customized to display information as preferred easily through the central screen.

Prioritizing sustainability, the Skoda Vision O uses eco-friendly materials that are recycled and renewable, thus minimizing its environmental impact. Seats are made from 100% recycled polyester, the bespoke 3D-printed headrest uses recycled Ultrasint TPU, and the flooring is made from post-production leather scrap.

The vehicle has an AI-driven personal assistant named Laura. She can guide occupants on their journeys by providing useful information on surroundings, suggesting alternative routes, or managing tasks like note-taking and meal planning.

The Skoda Vision O concept EV features an advanced autonomous technology that can independently handle all driving tasks except in severe challenging conditions like heavy rain or critically reduced visibility.

Skoda’s new Bio-Adaptive Lighting automatically adapts the interior ambient lighting to the natural light cycles in order to create a more comfortable environment. Optional features also include a portable speaker and a fully integrated fridge.
