The Polestar 3 was launched as the Swedish brand’s first electric SUV, combining Scandinavian minimalism with cutting-edge EV technology. Positioned as a luxury crossover, it targets eco-conscious buyers who are seeking a blend of performance, sustainability, and innovation.
On 26th July 2025 in Norwich, UK, the Polestar 3 created a new Guinness World Record for the longest journey by a production battery-powered electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) on a single charge. It travelled for 935.44 km (581.26 miles) in a time period of 22 hours 57 minutes. The record was achieved with the Long Range Single Motor variant surpassing its official WLTP range of 706 km by a significant margin.

“We are very proud to say we have a world record holder in the Polestar family! This official Guinness World Record for range is another proof point that the Polestar 3 is setting new standards. We will continue to push the boundaries of technology and electric performance,” says Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller.

Design
Polestar 3 features a sleek aerodynamic design with integrated front and rear aero wings. The exterior is minimalist yet bold, with a full-length panoramic glass roof flooding the cabin with light.
It avoids the aggressive, sharp lines of some competitors in favor of a sleek, muscular silhouette defined by a sweeping roofline, flush door handles, and the iconic “Dual-Blade” LED lighting elements.

Key Design Features
- The front aero wing attaches the air to the bonnet, increasing aerodynamic efficiency and extending range.
- The rear aero wing adds to the handling and energy efficiency of the Polestar 3 by increasing the down force and reducing turbulence.
- Its 22-inch performance wheels are forged instead of cast, which makes them lighter and stronger than conventional alloy wheels.
- Interior highlighting the Scandinavian minimalism.
- 14.5-inch high-resolution center display, 9-inch driver display, and head-up display.
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Comes with over-the-air updates for the infotainment system, apps, and car systems.
- Swedish gold LED interior lighting.
- Advanced climate controls and a sophisticated air filtration system.

- Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 1,610 watts of power, 25 speakers, 3D Surround Sound, and Dolby Atmos.
- The completely flat floor creates space, and the seats have been moved further back to provide extra legroom.
