Offering 828 HP (617 KW) and up to 700 km (450 miles) of EPA range, the Lucid Gravity Grand Touring is a 7-seat luxury electric SUV. The Gravity was a long-awaited SUV from Lucid, as the company was running on just one model, the Lucid Air sedan. Lucid finally started taking orders for the Gravity on 7th Nov 2024, with deliveries starting immediately.
At present, only one variant has been offered, the Lucid Gravity Grand Touring, at a price of $94,900 in the US. In the future the company plans to offer more variants like the Lucid Gravity Touring at a price of $79,900 by late 2025, but its specifications have not yet been released.
According to Lucid, “Gravity was developed to be the best SUV ever, shattering expectations for efficiency, capability, and driving dynamics.”

Performance and Specifications
The top spec Lucid Gravity sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 sec with a dual-motor powertrain that delivers 828 HP (617 KW) and 1,232 Nm (909 lb ft) of torque. It has an impressive drag coefficient of 0.24 and a turning radius of 11.7 meters.
The Lucid Gravity has a maximum EPA range of 700 km (450 miles), probably making it an electric SUV with the longest range in the US. It uses a 120 kWh battery that can fast charge up to 320 km (200 miles) in 15 min.
The vehicle is an AWD with adjustable air suspension, optional rear wheel steering, and a regenerative braking system.

The Lucid Gravity Grand Touring is 5,035 mm long, 2,215 mm wide including mirrors, 1,656 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 3,035 mm. It has a maximum towing capacity of 2,700 kg (6,000 lbs).
Design
The Lucid Gravity Grand Touring styling looks quite similar to the Lucid Air but is entirely based on a new platform. With its large size, aerodynamic, sleek design, and large 20-23” wheels, it does make its presence felt. As per Lucid, “Gravity is a bold statement of our vision for the future of electrified, sustainable mobility.”
Inside, the Gravity is very spacious, and with the rear seats folded, it offers a cargo space of up to 3,454 liters. It also offers multiple seat configurations.
The Gravity comes with a heads-up display and Lucid’s DreamDrive, its very own driver assistance technology. It has a single large touchscreen on the dashboard and a smaller 12.6-inch one in the center. The infotainment system has both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The interior comes in five themes, soft leather finish, massaging seats and a 22-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system.
For safety, Lucid has designed the vehicle with precisely engineered crumple zones to help in absorbing the impact and redirecting energy away from critical components and the vehicle’s occupants. Lucid further uses a sophisticated ADAS and advanced airbags to keep the occupants as safe as possible.
In short
The Lucid Gravity Grand Touring is a sleek-looking electric SUV with outstanding performance, going 0–100 km/h in 3.5 sec and delivering up to 838 HP.
Lucid has only one model, the Lucid Air, and the company has struggled ever since its inception with sales under 10,000 per year. With the addition of the much-anticipated Lucid Gravity, things will likely change. Also, the luxury SUV market is much bigger in the US, allowing Lucid to address a much broader market now.
Lucid never got the media hype in the west that Tesla did, so it still remained relatively unknown. So without the numbers, Lucid is going to have a hard road ahead. Claiming it to be the best SUV ever does not guarantee commercial success.
Though Gravity is a valuable addition to Lucid’s lineup, it still needs more affordable models if it ever wants to compete with Tesla in the US. Or move up the niche with probably a Lucid Gravity Sapphire. Will we ever see one?
