An acceleration of 5.2 sec from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved on the performance AWD, dual motor model, which boasts a total output of 430 HP (320 KW). While the 620 km (385 miles) WLTP range is achieved on the long-range, single-motor, RWD model with 19″ wheels.
The Hyundai IONIQ 9’s 110.3 kWh battery features an 800V battery system that can support charging at up to 350 kW at the ultra-fast charging stations. The European model will have a towing capacity of 2,500 kg, while the American model will have a 5,000 lb. capacity.

At 3,130 mm, the Hyundai IONIQ 9 will have the longest wheelbase among Hyundai models. It also has a reinforced body structure that effectively redistributes the collision energy so as to ensure maximum battery safety. The vehicle is also equipped with 10 airbags for occupant safety.
Design
The Hyundai IONIQ 9 has a sleek aerodynamic look with sophisticated, futuristic styling boasting a drag coefficient of just 0.259. Striking exterior features are the IONIQ’s signature pixel lamps, small cube projection headlights, digital side mirrors, curved roofline, and same real pixel lamp design.
The vehicle will be available in 16 exterior colors and will also use paint made from recycled tire waste.
With a long base comes a roomy interior, and Hyundai has tried to create a lounge-like atmosphere. It features a floating dashboard with a panoramic curved display and a Hyundai AI Assistant. The vehicle will have Level 2 autonomous driving capability, Smart Parking Assist, Highway Driving Assist, and an infotainment system with a BOSE 14-speaker stereo.
1st and 2nd row relaxation seats with a dynamic massage function, swiveling 2nd row seats allowing face-to-face chats. A slideable universal island and a panoramic sunroof enhance the passenger’s experience.
With the 3rd-row seats folded flat, there is 1,323 liters of cargo space.
