The recently unveiled Aspark Owl Roadster could very well be the world’s fastest roadster, sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.78 seconds (0 to 60 mph in 1.72 seconds).
Pretty unknown, Japanese engineering firm Aspark started developing an electric hypercar in 2015, and just three years later, their OWL model shattered the two-second barrier. A feat no one had achieved till that time, making the Aspark Owl the world’s quickest car.
“Since our founding, Aspark has embraced the philosophy of ‘creating new value that does not yet exist’ and has continued to take on bold challenges.” says Masanori Yoshida, Chairman of Aspark

The Aspark Owl Performance
Performance is where the Owl truly soars; the Aspark Owl can shoot from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.78 seconds. (0 to 60 mph in 1.72 sec) with a top speed of 413 km/h (256 mph). It can also crack 0-200 in 4.76 sec and 0-300 in 9.74 sec. So far it still remains the world’s quickest car in production.
The quad-motor all-wheel-drive setup boasts an output of 1,953 HP (1,456 kW) and 1,920 Nm of torque. It offers a range of 250 km from its 69 kWh Li-ion NMC battery. The all-wheel torque vectoring with hydraulic ride-height adjustable suspension keeps the car stable at all speeds.

A Spark Owl Roadster Design
This convertible variant of the acclaimed Owl coupe transforms the silent fury into an open-air symphony. The Aspark Owl Roadster features an aerodynamic design with sharp lines and falcon wing doors. It has a carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) body with aircraft-inspired honeycomb structures in selected areas for both lightness and rigidity.

The variable-angle rear wing automatically optimizes performance according to speed.

Inside the Aspark Owl Roadster is a functional and sophisticated cabin with premium Alcantara leather and exposed carbon fiber. Plus everything’s customizable to one’s liking.

Aspark OWL Roadster Review—In Short
Aspark, though little known, produces high-performance electric hypercars in limited numbers. Only 20 units of the roadster model will be produced, mirroring the coupe version’s 50-unit run that began in 2020.
The Aspark OWL price is over USD 3 million and is expected to be snapped up quite quickly by collectors and wealthy auto enthusiasts alike. Aspark’s niche focus positions it for cult status rather than mass appeal.
“With the first OWL, we redefined what an electric hypercar could be. With the Aspark Owl SP600, we pushed the limits of speed even further. And now, with the OWL Roadster, we have created a new form of exhilaration—driving with the roof open, feeling the wind, and embracing a freedom that can only be experienced behind the wheel,” says Masanori Yoshida, Chairman of Aspark.
For those who can afford its price, it’s the ultimate convertible out there at present.
