Nissan recently revealed the all-new, sixth-generation 2026 Nissan MICRA EV, specifically targeting the European market. According to Nissan, the new MICRA combines audacious design, agile performance, intuitive tech, and seamless connectivity.
As part of Nissan’s aggressive plan for Europe, the company wishes to introduce four new fully electric models by 2027. These would include the all-new MICRA, followed by the LEAF, JUKE, and a new A-segment model. The new MICRA is expected to be launched in late 2025.

With exterior looks, especially the lights reminds of the Fiat 600 while the interior is quite similar to the Renault 5, it will be competing in the electric B-segment car market.
Nissan hasn’t revealed its price yet, but is most likely to be similar to the Renault 5 and Fiat 600e.

2026 Nissan MICRA Specs :
The MICRA offers a maximum all-electric range of 408 km, which is a little higher than the Fiat 600e and Renault 5 (400 & 405 km, respectively). The MICRA comes in two battery options, 40 and 52 kWh, offering quick charging from 80% in 30 minutes.
The MICRA has a power output of 150 HP, similar to the Renault 5 but a little less than the Fiat 600e with 156 HP.

Nissan has not specified the exact dimensions of the new 2026 Nissan MICRA EV but says that it’s a little smaller than 4 meters with a wheelbase of 2,540 mm. That would make it probably the same size as a Renault 5 but a little smaller than a Fiat 600e, which is 4,178 mm long. It also offers 326 liters of storage capacity with the rear seats upright and 1,106 liters with the seats folded.
“The all-new MICRA combines irresistible and playful design with intuitive tech and an EV powertrain, which delivers both excellent range and fast-charging capability for an easy and enjoyable ownership experience,” said Clíodhna Lyons, Region Vice President, Product and Services Planning, Nissan AMIEO.

Design :
Designed at Nissan’s Design Europe (NDE) in London, the new 2026 Nissan MICRA EV offers a very distinctive design that’s both attractive and unforgettable. The new MICRA really stands out as the best-looking B-segment car so far when compared to the competition.
The car’s front is highlighted with its iconic circular headlights, a sloping hood, and a strong chrome bumper. When unlocked, the headlights seem to make a ‘welcome’ wink’-like lighting gesture. The car comes in 14 exterior color combinations or in a two-tone color option.

The side has a strong crossover SUV-like raised profile with 18” large wheels, dark wheel arches, and a hidden rear door handle.

The rear of the new Nissan Micra also highlights circular taillights similar to the front, a roof spoiler, and prominent Nissan branding.

Nissan has also designed the interior nice, modern, and functional, much like the Renault 5. It features a three-spoke steering wheel, a 10.1” hi-resolution screen display for vital information, and an additional central 10.1” touchscreen infotainment display. The NissanConnect offers Google services with over-the-air updates and hands-free voice control. It also offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. The seat’s upholstery varies according to grade, and there are 48 different colors of adjustable ambient lighting to choose from.

“In designing the sixth generation of the All-New Nissan MICRA, we’ve celebrated all of the values that have historically made it so popular—and opened a new chapter for MICRA as an EV. The exterior has an audacious and playful appearance on first look but has a stance that gives it a solid presence on the road,” said Giovanny Arroba, Vice President of Nissan Design Europe.
2026 Nissan MICRA EV : In short
The new MICRA is a strong move from Nissan in the electric B-segment market. With its compact design, nice electric range, and large storage capacity, the MICRA is ideal for urban life. Surely, its eye-catching design, solid performance, comfort, and tech features will make it a top contender in Europe’s electric B-segment market.
The Nissan Micra has been around for over 40 years with strong sales in some of the key Nissan markets. The new MICRA gives a much-needed refreshed and dynamic image to Nissan. If Nissan can price it competitively, it can really give the competition, a run for their money.

Nissan, which has been struggling presently, has recently come up with nice models like the Nissan N7, Nissan Frontier, and now the Nissan MICRA. Nissan seems to be moving in the right direction with a focus on design and technology. Overall, the new 2026 Nissan MICRA EV is a job well done by Nissan.
“We are proud to oversee the return of the MICRA name to Nissan’s range in Europe. It’s a name with over 40 years of history, and the new chapter it will write for Nissan and our customer is a purely electrified one—but it remains true to its DNA of being playful, audacious, and agile. It will electrify the streets wherever it goes,” said Arnaud Charpentier, Region Vice President, Marketing & Mobility, Nissan AMIEO.
