After the success of the BMW Skytop earlier this year, the company has now revealed the BMW Speedtop based on the same design language. The BMW Skytop was limited to just 50 units and was sold out even before its launch. BMW is now moving on the same steps by revealing the Speedtop, which will also be limited to just 70 units once launched. Targeting auto enthusiasts and collectors, these vehicles offer hand crafted luxury, performance, and exclusivity.
The BMW Speedtop concept was revealed at the Grand Hotel Villa d‘Este on Lake Como in Italy and continues the legendary sports touring legacy of BMW in a unique shooting brake design.

BMW Skytop Specs & Pics. :
The Skytop is an open-top two-seater roadster in the likes of the BMW 507 and BMW Z8. It boasts the most powerful V8 engine in the BMW portfolio. The 4.4-liter engine delivers 625 HP and is paired to an 8-speed Steptronic transmission. The Skytop is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds.

The BMW Skytop price was €500,000, with production limited to only 50 units. All units were sold out in no time, snapped by wealthy auto enthusiast and car collectors.

The BMW Skytop design features an arrow-shaped bonnet, iconic BMW shark-nose front, slim LED headlights, a sleek silhouette, hidden door handles, a retractable rear window, and a tapered rear reminiscent of the BMW Z8.

“The BMW Skytop boasts a distinctive design that combines top-tier driving dynamics with elegance. Announcing its production feels like a dream come true,” says Adrian van Hooydonk, Head of BMW Group Design.

BMW Speedtop Specs & Pics.
The BMW Speedtop will be limited to just 70 units and can be expected to cost much like the Skytop at around €500,000. It may also feature the same 4.4-liter V8 engine delivering 625 HP.

The vehicle keeps the same design language of the Skytop, featuring a shark nose, an arrow-shaped bonnet, slim LED headlights, an illuminating grille frame, wide shoulders, and a long hood with two framed air outlets. The central spline runs all along the hood, roof, and up to the rear spoiler.

The side is characterized by a touring and shooting brake design reminiscent of the long-standing tradition of such BMW models as the BMW 328 Touring Coupe, BMW M3 Touring, BMW M5 Touring, BMW Z4 Touring, and more. The slim waistline, hidden door handles, and dual-tone rims in 14-spoke add to its athletic appeal.

The rear features a top spoiler, slim tail lights, and large dual exhausts.

The interior speaks luxury with two-tone leather trim perforated in Budapest style and even covers the luggage compartment. A light gap in the headlining illuminates the luggage compartment and also serves as indirect atmospheric lighting. Colored crystals are incorporated into the steering wheel, gearshift, seats, and other places.

“A true BMW exudes dynamism and elegance even when it’s standing still. And that’s also the case with our new concept car. The BMW Concept Speedtop is characterized first of all by its profile. It is very unique in the automotive industry. In this way, we have created an exclamation mark for our entire lineup of vehicles, especially for the Touring models.” Adrian van Hooydonk, Head of BMW Group Design

BMW Speedtop and BMW Skytop : In short
Both the BMW Speedtop concept and the BMW Skytop are a blend of handmade craftsmanship, luxury, performance, and a unique experience. Priced at around €500,000, these highly customizable limited-edition models are targeted at wealthy auto enthusiasts and collectors.
The Skytop had set the tone with its limited 50 units being sold immediately on launch, and now BMW plans to build on that success by producing another limited edition model, the Speedtop concept in 70 units.
It’s no surprise that the BMW Speedtop too will be sold out immediately once offered.
