Chery recently unveiled its new Exeed ES 2025 EV in two options, one with conventional doors and the other with butterfly doors. While butterfly doors have been the feature of high-end sports cars, the Chinese are making them accessible in much more affordable cars. This sleek-looking car aims to bring a more comfortable, safer, and smarter driving experience to users who pursue high-quality travel.
“The hot sales of the Exeed ES extended-range and the 2025 Exeed ET have allowed us to explore a formula for creating popular products: super endurance, super safety, and super intelligence, multiplied by the extreme price, equals a popular product,” said Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Holding Group.
The car was opened for pre-order at the 2025 Shanghai International Auto Show. The Exeed ES price is from 199,800 yuan (27,740 USD) to 279,800 yuan (38,850 USD) in China. There are three versions, namely Pro (high-speed assisted driving), Max (urban assisted driving), and Ultra four-wheel drive flagship (urban assisted driving).

The top version of the Exeed ES 2025 EV has a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph) and an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 sec. It boasts an output power of 473 HP (353 KW) and a torque of 663 Nm (489 ft-lbs).
The Exeed ES range is a maximum of 710 km CLTC and has a 77 or 100 kWh battery with 800V architecture. The car can charge from 30 to 80 percent in just 9 minutes and add 120 km in 5 minutes.

Design
The Exeed ES 2025 has an attractive, sleek design, boasting the lowest drag coefficient of 0.205 in its class. The butterfly doors just add to its dynamic appeal. The smooth body lines are matched with elegant interactive lights. From the side, the car has a shooting brake coupe design with flush door handles and frameless windows. The rear has a spoiler and a sports car-style diffuser.
The vehicle has intelligent air suspension and an electromagnetic vibration reduction system.
With a wheelbase of 3 meters, the Exeed ES 2025 offers ample space inside. The dashboard features a 15.6-inch control screen, an 8.2-inch instrument panel, and a heads-up display. It offers zero-gravity leather seats with massage, heating, and ventilation. Along with L2 autonomous driving technology, it also offers voice control.
