Mercedes AMG presented PureSpeed at F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as a fully open two door performance car with no roof or windscreen as a tribute to racing and drawing design inspiration from legendary racing cars such as the Mercedes 300 SLR.
The Mercedes AMG PureSpeed is an outcome of years of Mercedes-Benz’s experience in motorsports offering a thrilling open top driving experience along with latest technology and luxury. Plus there is the sound of the V8 Mercedes‑AMG engine which can be enjoyed directly in the open PureSpeed.
The Mercedes‑AMG PureSpeed will be the first model in the Mercedes-Benz Mythos limited series with only 250 units expected to be produced.

Performance and Specifications
The Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed accelerates from 0-100 in 3.6 sec and has a top speed of 315 km/h. Its 4.0 litre V8 bi-turbo engine producing 576 HP (430 kW) of power and 800 Nm (590 ft-lb) of torque.
The Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed has a 4.0 litre V8 bi-turbo engine with a SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G 4MATIC transmission and an all-wheel drive system. The car is also equipped with an active rear-axle steering and consumes 13.7 L / 100 km.
Mercedes-AMG has deployed many safety features like the robust tubular steel bracket and the steel pillar in the middle like the halo device used in F1 cars intended to protect both the driver and passenger.
Design
The Mercedes‑AMG PureSpeed has a racecar inspired design with no roof, no windscreen, a long bonnet, a low aerodynamic smooth profile and a shark nose shaped front. The car resembles the Mercedes SL while the front bumper comes from the Mercedes-AMG ONE.
Carbon fiber parts are extensively used enhancing its visual appeal. The wheels too feature a unique carbon fiber cladding. The car comes with the protective cover as standard to protect it in case of rain or storm if parked outside. The car was showcased in a beautiful gradient color of red to graphite grey.
The interior cabin is also quite similar to the SL class with AMG performance steering wheel and seats in special leather covers. The interior of the concept car was designed on a two-tone color scheme of crystal white and black.
An eye-catching feature is the custom-made analogue clock in the center which has been designed by IWC Schaffhausen in a way to appear like its floating.
The car also comes with two aerodynamically designed helmets which will allow the driver and the passenger to communicate with each other even at high speeds. The helmets can also be connected with the smartphone so that the occupants can talk on the phone or listen to music. The helmet will come in a color same as the car.
